Every week on Thursday, from September 24 to October 15, 2026:
  • September 24 - 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
  • October 1 - 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
  • October 8 - 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
  • October 15 - 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Self-compassion is not taught in law school or during articling, but perhaps it should be. Many legal professionals have been exposed to messages that equate success with perfectionism, self-criticism, and pushing through at all costs. Yet growing evidence suggests that self-compassion is associated with better decision-making, stronger relationships, increased resilience, greater productivity, and longer, more sustainable careers.

Join your peers in a lightly facilitated exploration of self-compassion in legal practice. Through conversation, reflection, and practical experimentation, participants will have an opportunity to discover what happens when they relate to themselves with the same wisdom and understanding they might offer a respected colleague.

Who should attend? All members of the legal community (lawyers, legal support staff, articled students, law students, judges, judicial staff) are welcome.
